Capital Recovery Fee

A capital recovery fee is a charge to offset the cost of installing the infrastructure needed to provide water service. These fees vary by the size of the meter, and individuals or businesses with a larger meter pay more. The Capital Recovery Fee Chart lists the various fees which apply only to new customers who have a home or business that is not currently connected to the Manville system. if you are already a Manville customer, these fees will not apply to you unless you add new service.

Meter Setting Fees

The fees in the Meter Setting Fee Chart reflect the prices of meters, and the cost of labor and equipment to install them. Please note that these prices apply only to new meters. If you already have a Manville meter, these fees will not apply to you.

Membership Deposit

A membership deposit in the amount of $100.00 is collected at the time of your application for new service. If the water meter is locked there is an additional $60.00 reconnect fee that is non-refundable. The membership deposit is held by Manville Water Supply Corporation until the property is sold. At that time, the membership deposit is applied to your final bill and any remaining credit balance is refunded by check and sent to your new mailing address.

Lock/Unlock Meter Fee

If your water meter is locked due to non-payment of your monthly water bill, there is a $60.00 fee to get the meter unlocked. This is in addition to any past due balance, which would be required to unlock your water meter. This fee covers labor and transportation costs to lock and unlock the meter. Also, if there is a lapse in continuous service, the meter can be locked at your request. For example, if you relocate to another area temporarily, to avoid having a minimum monthly water bill, you might want to consider having the meter locked and then unlocked upon your return.
